pTau Antibodies

Phosphorylated Tau (pTau) species, including pTau 181, pTau 217 and pTau 231, are closely linked to Alzheimer’s disease (AD) pathology. These modified forms of Tau show strong associations with amyloid and tau PET findings and provide enhanced specificity for detecting AD‑related changes compared to total Tau1. pTau levels in cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) and plasma are increasingly explored for early detection, biological staging, and monitoring of disease progression2.

Our various monoclonal antibodies selective for phosphorylated Tau support the development of immunoassays for the measurement of these different phosphorylated forms of the Tau protein.
