Tau Alzheimer biomarkers
Tau proteins are mainly present in neurons and play a role in axonal microtubule stability. An increase of Tau is considered as a biomarker for neuronal death and as such often included in diagnostic algorithms for Alzheimer’s disease.
The AT120, HT7 and BT2 monoclonal antibodies can be used for the development of (immuno) assays for quantification of Total Tau.
