Field Service Engineer Spain

As a Field Service Engineer you will be responsible for ensuring the optimal performance of our diagnostic instruments at laboratories and medical centers, providing high-quality technical support and coordinating key field activities. Your main responsibilities will be:
  
Preventive maintenance and installations:

  • Organize and execute scheduled instrument installations, maintenance activities, software updates, and technical interventions.
  • Plan and coordinate instrument installations, including logistics and LIS connection, in collaboration with sales and customer support teams.

 
Customer technical support:

  • Solve technical issues via phone or on-site.
  • Provide training to customers and colleagues.
  • Manage complaints and document activities in internal systems.

 
Coordination of external field service engineers:

  • Act as the main contact for the 6 local service organizations in all regions across Spain.
  • Provide a planning for the monthly maintenances, installations and dispatch them for urgent reparations.
  • Provide tools, training, and technical support.
  • Monitor interventions and resolve incidents.
  • Document and review their activities in CRM database.

 
Spare parts and instrument allocation management:

  • Maintain optimal stock levels of spare parts and instruments.
  • Organize orders, shipments, and physical inventory control.
  • Coordinate logistics and allocation of instruments and spare parts for internal and external service partners.

 

Your Profile

  • Degree in Technical Engineering or equivalent.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in laboratory instrumentation installation and maintenance.
  • Native or fluent Spanish and good command of English.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, Salesforce, and inventory management systems (SAP or similar).
  • Autonomous, organized, and customer-oriented.
  • High travel flexibility: Up to 70% of your time within Spain and occasionally to other European countries.
  • Driving license B1
