This assay can also be used in combination with the INNOTEST® β-AMYLOID(1-42) HS Conj, product # 81587 for the quantitative determination of β-amyloid(1-42) in plasma and cell culture supernatants. Use of INNOTEST β-AMYLOID(1-42) product # 81583 in combination with INNOTEST β-Amyloid(1-42) HS Conj and Beta-Amyloid (1-42) CAL-RVC pack product # 81584, implies that no diagnostic claims can be made.

The INNOTEST β-AMYLOID_(1-42) is a solid-phase enzyme immunoassay for the quantitative determination of β-amyloid_(1-42) in human cerebrospinal fluid (CSF). This assay is designed to detect the amyloid peptide called Aβ resulting from β-secretase way of APP (amyloid precursor protein) maturation and starting at the 1^st amino acid (AA) of N-terminal extremity and finishing at position 42. This peptide, hydrophobic and neurotoxic, is a major component of amyloid deposits.
